Experts are predicting that the trouble in Egypt could potentially increase the business gas price. Many of the larger oil companies are already withdrawing workers from that area.
The two oil giants BP and British Gas have removed a number of workers from Egypt as the trouble continues and looks to get even worse. As a result of this experts are predicting that business gas prices will increase in a dramatic spike.
BP has released information that they have already removed 60 of their staff and left 40 of their most important workers. British Gas have removed 100 of their workers. Both of the companies have said that all of their workers are fine and none of their operations should be affected whatsoever.
Both companies have said they have only withdrawn staff in the area as a precautionary measure. All staff they said that they have removed are non-essential works to their operations.
Since president Morsi was ejected the tension in Egypt has continued and if anything got even worse. There has been reports of massive fights in Cairo, Alexandria among many other cities across the country.
There has been gas shortages across Egypt and these shortages have caused blackouts as there is not much electricity being generated. As a result of this the country has reduced the amount of liquified natural gas that they usually export, to try and cover the gas shortage.
We hope the troubles that the world is currently seeing in Egypt end soon. It is a terrible situation that people living in the country are having to deal with. If there is a spike in business gas prices over the next couple of days it is mostly likely to be as a result of the trouble in Egypt.
